The Order Entry Supervisor using a computerized system to gather information and confirm sales prompted by incoming calls. Order Processing work is focused on responding to inbound customer calls (business-to-business or business-to-consumer) related to processing sales orders and resolving routine order/delivery issues. Being an Order Entry Supervisor may promote products/services, but does not have a sales quota. Responds to routine inquiries (such as address changes, delivery delays, etc.) by referring customers to published materials, secondary sources, or more senior team members. In addition, Order Entry Supervisor may include operator services positions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Order Entry Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as an Order Entry Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
Sets up and operates machine to automatically fold, slit, and score printed sheets into signatures for binding. Examines work order to determine setup specifications. Adjusts machine during production run as required. May require a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
