The Surgical - Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) provides direct care and follow-up for patients in surgical care units. The Registered Nurse (RN), Recovery Room monitors vital signs, administers medications, including intravenous medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Provides professional nursing care to assigned post-operative patients. Being a Registered Nurse (RN), Recovery Room observes patients' progress, records observations in patient medical records, and updates attending physicians directly when necessary. Provides support to patients waking up from anesthesia, including bandage maintenance, pain management, nausea treatment, and ensuring patients receive adequate rest, fluids and nutrients. In addition, Registered Nurse (RN), Recovery Room teaches patients how to clean bandages, take medication, and follow post-surgical care instructions.
