Being a Facilities Space Planning Manager directs the development of cost estimates of labor, materials, and services used for planning, budgeting, and contracting. Develops designs, layout plans, specifications, and standards that comply with building regulations, industry best practices, and organizational requirements. In addition, Facilities Space Planning Manager establishes project plans and a project governance framework to oversee construction and installation activities. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Facilities Space Planning Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
