Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Salary in Oregon

Job Description Job Description Radtke Marine is a small, family owned and operated since 1985, diesel marine engine repair shop . We are extremely busy and need technicians with some diesel engine experience and the willingness to learn and grow. Work to be performed ranges from diagnosing issues aboard vessels to major engine overhauls We will train you in the marine engines but candidates must have the desire to learn and follow directions. Technicians must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and have your own tools. Normal working hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday, but overtime and travel out of state opportunities occur frequently. Valid drivers license is required. No pre employment drug screening, however drug and alcohol use during work hours will not be tolerated. Full medical, dental and vision coverage paid by employer. Job Description Job Description Position Title: Shop Trucking & Diesel Mechanic Apprentice Reports To: Shop Foreman Job Purpose: As a shop apprentice you must be able to help maintain, repair, and prepare equipment to be job site ready. This position will require that you learn to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel / hydraulic construction equipment as well as assist in the maintenance of our current fleet of company trucks. Essential Functions: Work with other field staff and management to maintain, repair, rebuild and troubleshoot a wide variety of construction equipment, including but not limited to; skid steers, excavators, dozers, crawler carriers, trucks and other various equipment, in a work site environment. Learn to maintain, repair, modify, construction equipment through an understanding of diesel and hydraulic mechanics, as well as on-site fabrication. Inspects, monitors, and performs maintenance on the job site equipment to head off potential problems and reports results
