SUMMARYThe primary purpose of the Senior Research Data Coordinator position is to provide independent patient care services and operational management for minimal risk trials. Mentors new research data coordinators and assists with developing departmental orientation and training resources for new research data coordinators.Protocol Specific Tasks* Coordinates non-sponsored and sponsored studies (cooperative group, drug companies and FDA).* Assesses patients for protocol eligibility through personal interviews and medical record review in the outpatient and inpatient settings for minimal risk studies.* Assesses patients in the inpatient/outpatient clinical setting for follow up appointments per protocol requirements* Acts as liaison with patients, families, physicians, and other personnel (i.e., social workers, study coordinators, dietitians, etc.). The Manager for Clinical Research Data Coordination will serve as the O'Neal Clinical Trial Office expert on data reporting responsibilities, various sponsor and IT data capture platforms and will lead, manage, and train new staff as well as design, implement and interpret research data projects.
