Job Description for Provider Relations Manager

Provider Relations Manager manages and maintains service relationships with physicians, providers, and administrators of a provider network. Implements and oversees the credentialing and orientation process to ensure healthcare providers understand and adhere to network operating policies and procedures. Being a Provider Relations Manager analyzes feedback from network stakeholders to survey satisfaction and facilitate communication. Reviews provider inquiries about referrals, eligibility, credentialing, and other policy matters and resolves complex issues. Additionally, Provider Relations Manager evaluates provider relationships to assist with recruiting and contracting healthcare providers into the network. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Provider Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.
