About Island Rec
Island Rec was established by voters in 1984 as San Juan Island Park and Recreation District and operates on a six year voter approved levy. Its current levy of 17 cents was effective in 2010. 10 cents of this levy supports Island Rec programs and parks with the remaining seven cents going to the San Juan Island School District to support school sports.
