In 1983, Abel & Schafer Inc. U.S.A, started with the sale of special selected bread and cake mixes. The products were then still manufactured in Germany. The "Original Choice 6 Grain Mix", the first multi grain bread mix offered in the U.S quickly found it's way to the American baker. Today Abel & Schafer U.S.A manufactures over 200 products in it's modern manufacturing plant in Ronkonkoma New York.
