We are owned and operated by the Stutchman Family. For over 37 years their research, planning and development in senior housing and Alzheimer's care has produced successful and respected facilities in Northern Nevada. The family and the dedicated staff at The Arbors truly enjoy the chance to make life better for our residents and their families. The Arbors specializes in the care of people with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Its unique design was developed by the Stutchman family after extensive research and study. They visited multiple facilities across the nation and analyzed how residents interacted with their physical environment. The resulting community provides an inviting comfortable setting where programs, services, building and grounds empower, guide and comfort individuals with memory illness. The Arbors offers private and companion suites in a comfortable neighborhood environment. Design features, such as visual cues and walking paths, help residents stay independent in finding their way. Memory boxes with photos of early life and biographies highlighting life achievements add to a sense of belonging. A light cheery and spacious environment throughout the building offers many community areas for socializing as well as quiet spots to sit and relax in peace. Our two 1500 square foot atriums complete with live plants, birds and plenty of natural light are perfect for those days that our Nevada weather turns extreme. Our 3 acre site is fenced with wrought iron lined with roses and vines allowing for security without the feel of confinement. The outdoor spaces are perfect for exercise, gardening, BBQ's, gathering flowers, bird watching and many other wonderful outdoor experiences.
