Bay Standard was founded by Gerhard Landgraf and his son Peter in 1959. The two entrepreneurs began in the family's garage, building bumper reinforcements and luggage racks for Volkswagen of America. From those beginnings, we have grown into a Master Distributor of construction fasteners servicing the Western United States with Branches located in Oregon, Northern and Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. In addition, Utah and Colorado are serviced by Manufacturers Warehouse, and D&C Sales. The Landgraf families' ingenuity and creativity has enabled its team to be a force in the manufacturing of wire products. In addition, we have a zinc plating facility and process finished goods with a state of the art closed loop-plating system. Today, our production capabilities allow us to roll and form wire goods into thousands of standard and special items used by distributors all over the United States. In addition to our manufacturing capabilities, BSMI is dynamic in the import distribution market. With reliable factories, we import a large selection of all thread rod, anchor bolts, special and standards for distribution, or items for a stock and release program. Our import capabilities, manufacturing strengths and strong delivery and distribution channels have offered us the ability to endure both good and troubled times in various market conditions. BSMI remains on the cutting edge of technology with Inxsql software, utilizing our warehouse management system designed for the fastener industry. We offer a fast turn-around of manufactured items such as special all thread lengths, square plate washers, U-bolts and anchor bolts.
