London, 16 March 2021 Airbus is teaming with Draken Europe to address the UK Maritime Coastguard Agencys (MCA) requirement for the Second Generation Search and Rescue (UKSAR2G) service. Today on International Womens Day we celebrate those first women to cast a vote, and those pioneering female scientists, writers, athletes and artists from around the world, recognising the legacies that have been handed down through the generations. Following the acquisition of Cobham Aviation Services, UK by Draken International in September 2020, the company has now officially adopted the newly refreshed Draken brand. This month the Draken Search and Rescue Crew, operating on behalf of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard were involved in a rescue from Christoffel mountain in Curacao. The 25th November 2020 marked a year since our Teesside site in the North East of the UK successfully set up its base maintenance facility to service our Falcon 20 aircraft. There was also occasion for a double celebration, as the site reached its 25-year anniversary. In early November an Advanced Trauma life support course (ATLS) took place at the HATO coastguard station in Curaao where we operate two AW139s for the Dutch Caribbean Coastguard.
