Position DescriptionERS construction company is currently seeking a heavy equipment operator. Heavy equipment operator's primary functions is to operate all types and sizes of heavy equipment including but not limited to Loaders, Backhoes, Bulldozers, Articulating Dump Trucks, Rollers, Tamps, Pans, etc. to help with all aspects of the grading operations. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties: Operate heavy equipment in a safe and productive manner. Works with crew to load trucks, dig trenches, ensure slopes are on grade. Insure maintenance and inspection of equipment is performed. May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment. May perform other related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, set up and maintenance of erosion control, checking and maintaining grade stakes, set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids, etc.

Salary Range: $40,916 - $65,875 Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to operate track or rubber-tired construction equipment with specialized functions related to maintenance, construction, and operational activities where the operation of complex mechanisms requires the highest degree of skill, dexterity, and finesse, and where work is performed to exacting tolerances.
