After twenty years experience in electrical construction, renovations and upgrades, James Freasier, Sr. and his business partner founded F&W Electrical Contractors Inc. in 1985. The focus of the business was being a quality specialty contractor, providing superior high voltage and electrical distribution services to private sector and governmental entities. In 1991, Mr. Freasier's son, James L. Freasier, Jr., after gaining eighteen years management and supervisory experience in the electrical service and installation industry, established his own company, JLF Electric, Inc. JLF specialized in airfield distribution and lighting and became recognized as an area industry leader in the highly complex and specialized field. When the opportunity arose for Mr. Freasier, Sr. to purchase his partner's share of F&W in 1994, JLF merged with F&W resulting in the business being owned completely by the Freasier family. Since that time, James L. Freasier, Sr. has served as the Chairman of the Board of F&W and James Freasier, Jr. has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer being responsible for all day-to-day activities of the company. In 2005, F&W acquired Comal Electric, which added traffic signalization and highway lighting to the list of F&W's specialties. The company is now a full service electrical contractor providing electrical services to a variety of customers. In addition to electrical distribution, areas of expertise include: airfield lighting, sports lighting, traffic signalization and highway lighting.
