Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. Hybrid Schedule: On-site 3 days out of the week (Tuesday through Thursday) Responsibilities: Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Work closely with the Controller to design and implement procedures and documented best practices for the accounting department Prepare and create any necessary reports or presentations while seeking improvement and efficiencies Assisting with annual audit preparations and requests Heavily involved in the financial close process including preparing and posting general ledger journal entries Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedur

As a member of the Accounting Department, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance & Accounting department's day to day functions. The Senior Accountant will assist with the monthly financial close, preparation of financial statements and analytical reports, processing of accounts payable, budget preparation, account reconciliation, tax preparation, and other administrative duties, as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Execute timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including prepaid assets and fixed asset accounts, and review, approve, and post journal entries. Review team's work for accuracy and compliance. Assist with annual budgeting processes, mid-year forecasts, and preparation of the Firm's monthly financial package. Provide support to external auditors; prepare various audit schedules as necessary for internal and external audit requirements. Identify issues independently.
