About the Position Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional violin instructor to teach part-time at Tampa Music School, our South Tampa, FL location. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Preference will be given to teachers who are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in voice or piano performance, music education, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check. Compensation Range: Position Summary: This is a tenure-track faculty position. History faculty are expected to primarily teach AMH 2010-Early American History and AMH 2020-Modern American History; other courses are taught as needed. HCC faculty are expected to contribute to the college community through committee work, on-going professional development, and collaborative curriculum development. Love of teaching is primary. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in history or master's degree with 18 graduate hours in history. To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and/or qualifying graduate semester hours. Prefer Qualifications: Demonstrated instructional experience at the post-secondary level. The ability to teach an evening course if necessary. Instructional knowledge of CANVAS or another learning management system (LMS); and a commitment to students through exceptional teaching and learning.
