The beginning of what is now AirStar Flight Support, Inc. at East Georgia Regional Airport began in March of 2009. AirStar's Charter fleet was in need of a location to have maintenance performed and the Swainsboro - Emanuel County Airport fit the requirements and at the time was available to meet AirStar's need.
