Evanston Ecumenical Action Council was formed on May 19, 1970 and was an association of local Christian Churches for nearly 50 years. On May 15, 2006, the members of EEAC voted to expand the membership of the organization to all religious and spiritual communities and to change the name to "Interfaith Action of Evanston." Membership is open to any faith organization that actively participates in our mission to serve hungry and homeless persons in Evanston and affirms that it wants to be a member.
