Description CGNC Substitute Teacher The Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate educational activities and experiences that will assist them in fulfilling their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Responsibilities and Duties: Prepare daily lesson plans and submit them to the Principal weekly (if applicable), if in the classroom, as a long-term substitute for more than one week and up to 20 days. Follow the prepared lesson plans of the regular classroom teacher if in class for up to one week. Ensure lesson plans show adaptations for differences in student learning styles Teach instructional subjects according to the standards of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Maintain records of student attendance and grades. Maintain appropriate supervision of students and classroom staff. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly classroom. Display current student work in the classroom without last names.
