This particular opening is specifically for the back-to-back gear test area, made up of 8 test stands, doing transmission testing, focused on gears and clutches. The day-to-day will include a lot of gear changes, testing two gears back-to-back, testing 9 speed, 1st and 2nd gear, etc. In one day, this person will change out 2 maybe 3 gear sets, tear those down, do the post-test analysis, take photos under a microscope, measure and document any imperfections on the components. There may be days where you just do photographs and measuring, sometimes just changing gears, depending on what needs to be completed during that shift/day.
