NewCare MD is a direct primary care provider. That simply means we charge our patients directly through a small monthly membership fee instead of accepting insurance or government payers. Our physicians have the freedom to practice medicine. Therefore, they do not push paper nor are they beholden to a third party. The monthly membership fee includes unlimited visits, after hours access (phone, email or text), prescriptions dispensed in the clinic at cost, 30-minute appointments (no rushed visits!), annual flu shots and wellness and so much more. NewCare MD physicians care about their patients and want them to be healthy and happy. As a result, our goal is to keep you out of the ER and the expensive specialty referral cycle. Liberty Direct is a government approved healthcare cost sharing program that is exempt from the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") mandate to purchase health insurance. Medical cost sharing unites health-conscious individuals to share medical expenses without the red tape and high costs of traditional health insurance. Liberty Direct members share the commitment to value, prioritize and take personal responsibility for their health. In return, members are able to share medical costs together. This means that Liberty Direct members typically pay 40-60% less for their health expenses. Each month, you pay what is called a called a Monthly Share Amount. This money is used to fund the medical needs of the Liberty member community. Furthermore, the amount of money you are responsible for paying directly to your provider for your medical expenses is easy to understand. This amount is called an "Annual Unshared Amount". After you reach this amount, 100% of your eligible medical needs are shared up to $1 million per incident with no lifetime limit.
