Process Equipment & Controls, INC. (PEC-KC) is a full service distribution, automation, and service company servicing a wide range of industries in "The Heart of America". Our base of operations is in Olathe, KS where we maintain a growing inventory of valves, actuators, instrumentation products, and other specialty mechanical equipment. We are committed to be a premier full service supplier to our customers. The company was originally established by Andy Goldberg and Jack McDonald in 1982 and was a well respected manufacturers rep and distributor serving Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois industrial markets for over 20 years. In 2001, the PEC assets were acquired by Tyco Valves & Controls (now Pentair Valves & Controls) and were made the lower Midwest Regional Sales & Distribution office for the next 8 years, which included the expansion into what is now the Kansas City Region. In June of 2009 Tyco closed the St Louis office. This development opened the door for the reincarnation of the once proud company, Process Equipment & Controls, INC (PEC). In August of 2009 the company was re-established by Andy Goldberg and Craig Lopez and started doing business in the St Louis region. On April 1, 2010 Brian Wozniak opened the doors to PEC-KC as an independent business to do the same thing in the Kansas City region, which includes Kansas, W. Missouri, Nebraska, and W. Iowa. In today's challenging economic times, it is as important as ever for suppliers to be diverse, flexible and fiscally responsible without letting your customer service fall short. The big have gotten bigger, but not necessarily better. The result of such acquisitions and consolidations have resulted in rationalization of once well respected brands and increased overseas manufacturing and longer lead times. Those changes may have been good for "John Q Shareholder" short term, ...
