General Definition of Work Performs work responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing and overhauling city vehicles and equipment for the City of Cape Girardeau. Essential Functions •Performs preventative maintenance on city vehicles and equipment. •Troubleshoots and diagnoses engine failures; repairs diesel, gasoline and propane engines. •Assists concrete crew as needed; builds forms, pours concrete and finished concrete. •Responds to emergency call out situations as required. •Operates appropriate diagnostic equipment. •Maintains and repairs hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors. •Performs other related duties as assigned.
