We are André and Levente and our story starts in Pécs. We started dabbling in web development during our teenage years and became friends during our high-school studies. Shortly after graduating we became founders of Splendex, the company of our dreams. We enrolled at different universities but continued working together. As web development proposed interesting opportunities, we committed more and more time to becoming skilled in the field. At this point our workspace was a garage, which we renovated as best we could. We were busy with work from Freelancer.com and Reddit, but the clients were often problematic, and the pay was awful too, we had to manage crazy workloads, something had to change. We decided to actively seek better projects, left the awful freelancer jobs behind and caught some bigger fish. We closed on a highly profitable, big U.S. project, from which we could finance a lot of improvements. In the summer of 2016 we hired our first actual employee, a full-time web developer, Gbor, who is still with Splendex today. Levente found a fantastic opportunity in Budapest from which we were able to form a partnership with a prestigious software company. Working in Budapest meant we could take Splendex to the next level with the plentiful opportunities of networking. We started recruiting with a much better strategy, our inner management became much more streamlined. With problems getting nipped in the bud we were able to scale our team, we doubled in numbers. We moved into our first serious office on Nagymez street, and we kept growing our network even further. This was the year where we took on bigger projects than ever before, and successfully completed them. During the pandemic we stayed strong, we kept on moving forward as a team. We were able to hire several new people during the pandemic, and through the challenges our company structure became even more professional.
