Sunrise Pediatrics was started in July, 2000. Our physicians, nurses and staff provide care to children and adolescents from birth to age 21. We recognize that every child is unique and we treat each one as an individual. Each physician in the practice follows their own group of patients in order to build a relationship with the children and their families and to improve continuity of care. We enjoy working with families to promote the health and well-being of their children, both physical and emotional, and to help each child reach their full potential. Our office hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. We are closed each day for lunch from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM. Patients are seen by appointment and can be scheduled on the same day for acute care needs. We do not allot time for walk-in appointments. Calling the office before bringing your child to be seen makes it easier to accommodate your needs and respect the appointment times for other families who have been scheduled that day. After regular business hours and on weekends and holidays you can call for advice to UNC hospital's HealthLink nurse triage line. The nurse can answer many of your questions after hours and will page the doctor on call when needed. The toll-free number for HealthLink is (888) 267-3675. There is a small charge for calls after regular business hours.
