Midwife would be a per-diem staff member at Woman's Way to be on call from home for our pregnant patients to be delivered at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. Midwives work independently with admission and management privileges. We have a collaboration agreement with the Attending Physician Hospitalist on duty when deemed necessary for consultation or need for any surgical intervention. Position Specific Responsibilities: CM/CNM will be on call from home. Calls would be forwarded directly to your phone to answer any calls and determine plan of care for patient. If you feel the patient is in labor than you go to the hospital for the labor management and delivery. Deliveries range between 8 to 12 per month.
