Today, UCAS continues to provide high quality professional training in the field of Cosmetology. On October 14, 2000, the Shearer family purchased two locations in the San Antonio, Texas area. The schools currently have the same name University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences and has been in operation since 1962 and still continue to provide high quality education in the field of cosmetology. At our institution, our primary purpose is to better prepare students to become successful members of the cosmetology profession. Our programs and courses are as diverse as the interests of our students and our instructors are always ready to help, guide and motivate. If you would like more information, feel free to contact us. Originally, the name of the school Magic Valley Beauty College, Inc was established in 1955 in San Juan, Texas. In 1976, Magic Valley Beauty College Inc. was purchased by the Shearer family. In 1984, the name was changed to University of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (UCAS) and was moved to Mc Allen, Texas in an effort to better serve the community. The school since then has expanded to more classrooms, offices and a larger clinic floor. In 1988, the institution added another location in Harlingen, Texas to accommodate the students in the Cameron County area. Today, UCAS continues to provide high quality professional training in the field of Cosmetology. On October 14, 2000, the Shearer family purchased two locations in the San Antonio, Texas area. San Antonio Beauty College has been in operation since 1962 and still continuing to provide high quality education in the field of cosmetology.
