    What your job will look like:
    As a Human Resources Division Partner at Jefferson Lab you will serve as the primary HR liaison and advisor to Division Leadership, line management and staff in support of lab and divisional objections. You will focus on divisional recruitment, coaching/development, performance management, employee relations, inclusion and engagement to include driving other HR programs and policies. The HR Division Partner possesses a solid HR knowledge foundation and will develop a deep sense of the Division’s mission objectives to best serve employees and adhere to policies and processes.

    In this role you will...

    Serve as integrated part of the assigned Division(s), working with and advising leaders to accomplish broader mission objectives.

    Apply a strong skill set in talent acquisition and management to support leadership in developing and executing an aggressive recruitment and retention strategy. Lead divisional full life cycle recruitment efforts to attract and secure needed talent by executing an aggressive recruitment and retention strategy. This includes job need identification, classification, job description development, sourcing and screening, and offer negotiations.

    Provide proactive and continuous evaluation and raise awareness of issues and trends that may suggest existing or emerging HR issues.
    Provide guidance on employee behavior and conflict resolution and conduct investigations in response to employee complaints.

    Function as a skilled communicator and change agent to successfully balance employee needs with mission objectives to create integrated solutions.

    Exercise discretion and judgment to navigate routine and strategic HR activities to effectively resolve challenges and drive human capital initiatives forward. Partner with HR team Subject Matter Experts as needed to ensure alignment of policy and practices at the divisional level.

    Qualifications we require:
    Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and,

    Experience:
    5 years’ combined experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner or Recruiter.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment strategies and techniques

    Proficient knowledge of employment laws, principles, policies, and procedures

    Experience exercising judgment and independently determining and taking appropriate action within the construct of HR policies and procedures

    Professional and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    Excellent active listening skills that encourage employee trust

    Demonstrated ability to understand business goals and translate them into HR priorities

    Strong conflict management and resolution skills

    Analytical and influential skills are essential; ability to analyze data, trends, reporting, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm.

    Qualifications we prefer:
    PHR or SPHR Certification

    Experience in an R&D setting is preferred
