The Electrical Control Systems Technician II provides setup, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of electrical control systems and prototypes. Supports the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems and devices. Being a Electrical Control Systems Technician II documents testing procedures, and measures and records performance results following established methods. Assists with testing of systems, devices, and instruments. In addition, Electrical Control Systems Technician II maintains the inventory of supplies and tools used for testing and maintenance. Typically requires an associate degree in engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Being a Electrical Control Systems Technician II works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Working as a Electrical Control Systems Technician II typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
