The Technical Sales Scoping Manager provides analysis of customer's technical specifications, recommends the best product configuration and installation process, and estimates implementation effort, time, and resources. Leads and directs teams of engineers that use technical knowledge of product offerings to advise and support sales teams with pricing estimates and implementation guidance based on customer requirements. Being a Technical Sales Scoping Manager develops and delivers technical product presentations and materials to engage customers and prospects and educate sales teams. Reviews sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality. In addition, Technical Sales Scoping Manager collaborates with implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions or deliver customer training. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Technical Sales Scoping Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Technical Sales Scoping Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
