Job Description for Chief Marketing Officer
Chief Marketing Officer provides overall vision, leadership, strategy, and execution of all marketing programs and initiatives of the organization. Develops an end-to-end marketing function that delivers messaging, branding, digital presence, product support, demand generation, content, research, and thought leadership. Being a Chief Marketing Officer partners with line of business leaders to ensure marketing programs and advertising expenditures support company revenue and growth objectives. Builds and develops the teams and technology required to collect, test, measure, and analyze marketing metrics necessary to identify trends in the marketplace, program effectiveness, and consumer behavior. Additionally, Chief Marketing Officer identifies potential markets, customer segments, and products to explore. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to CEO. Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus.
