Job Description for Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor
Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor supervises a team of cybersecurity professionals that plan and design security solutions that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Assists in the development of security requirements using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing, and analysis of existing systems. Being a Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor creates action plans for policy creation and governance, system hardening, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, and emerging cybersecurity threats. Utilizes security information and event management (SEIM), data loss prevention (DLP), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other tools in action plan designs. Additionally, Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor keeps abreast of the latest intelligence from law enforcement and other sources of cyber threat information. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. May require Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). May require Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Typically reports to a manager. The Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Cyber Security Architecture Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
