Job Description for SVP of Systems Administration
SVP of Systems Administration designs and develops the system administration objectives, strategies, programs, and policies of an organization. Establishes and directs the department's strategic long-term goals. Being an SVP of Systems Administration defines and prioritizes department needs, manages initiatives, and drives strategies. Responsible for the overall maintenance and technical support functions of operating system environments and various computer systems for an organization. Additionally, SVP of Systems Administration utilizes system performance reports to identify potential issues and develop potential solutions. Develops department budget, monitors and allocates resources, and researches and evaluates technological improvements. Collaborates with senior leadership in various departments to ensure organizational goals are met. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The SVP of Systems Administration manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact.
