The Marketing Automation  Manager is an essential part of the Sales and Marketing Team, directing and supporting the entire organizations customer journey initiatives. The primary objective of the Marketing Automation/Customer Journey Manager is to develop, build and execute customer journeys and strategies to achieve customer acquisition and retention. You will own, and be the expert on the organizations enablement platform and all-related efforts to ensure performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple marketing automation platforms and data sources in order to move buyers through the entire funnel. A passion for B2B and B2C marketing and driving results is a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, refine and manage new and existing journey’s and campaigns and processes
  • Establish the use of email optimization and A/B testing techniques, working with design and content for improved deliverability and conversion
  • Manage the back-end technical aspects of email marketing, including email deliverability, seeding campaigns, IP warming and maintaining IP certifications
  • Build the organization wide opt-in strategy and maintenance of that data, promoting and teaching the value of data accuracy and system consistency
  • Own email deliverability approach, KPI’s, vendor relationships and tool management
  • Ensure adoption and use of best practices for sending, tracking and optimizing email campaigns
  • Establish a partnership with IT to understand, support and advance the data integration between our email provider and our internal systems
  • Build and own the standardize production QA process for email campaigns
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, automation flows and all other aspects with execution
  • Create solutions that automate processes involving complex systems
  • Collaborate with channel managers to develop solutions and support initiatives of customer movement from the B2B channels into B2C that increase both conversion and retention
  • Compiles and distributes email analytics and regularly reviews with the marketing team to improve email approach and programs
  • Must be a strategic thinker, but possess the ability to execute tactically
  • Stays up-to-date with demand generation and revenue marketing trends, develop new ideas and test to drive innovation
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and demonstrable success with marketing automation and customer journey mapping and implementation, to include and exceed duties listed in this job description. Must have outstanding skills in Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and proficiency with SQL, HTML and CSS. Able to lead a team, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills and solid project management skills. Minimum amount of travel may be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Marketing or related field; MBA or advanced Marketing degree advantageous. Minimum of 5 years related experience and 1 to 2 years managing a team. Prefer experience in an annual renewal category leveraging email marketing campaigns.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to speak to both tactical and strategic decision makers; ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with senior executives.
