2HB Incorporated is seeking a Applications Tester in order to support its government customer in Herndon, VA. This program requires support to perform software testing, system documentation and security documentation activities as directed by the program and in accordance with the approved development approach for the task(s). The project builds and deploys innovative solutions for mission needs throughout the program organization. The project also excels at infrastructure-as-code and SecDevOps solutions. The effort will be led by the staff project manager(s). Priorities will be set by the program project manager(s).
Work Requirements:
- The candidate shall perform system testing and related analysis.
- The candidate shall develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
- The candidate shall write test system and security related documentation
- The candidate shall document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
- The candidate shall review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and mitigate risk.
- The candidate shall be familiar with iterative and Agile software development methodologies and practices.
- The candidate shall participate in the planning and implementation of software development.
- The candidate shall learn and work with cloud platforms such as AWS, program’s cloud, and Azure, as required.
- The candidate shall provide the support to meet critical operational requirements and schedules.
- The candidate shall manage and track project tasks through the team's JIRA site within assigned project boards.
- Demonstrated experience testing software updates and configurations.
- Demonstrated experience detecting, reporting, and explaining defects effectively using JIRA.
- Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining technical documents including user stories, test plans or test cases.
- Demonstrated experience performing application testing.
- Demonstrated experience testing software and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience testing web applications across back-end, service tier, and presentation layers, including graphical user interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience capturing user requirements.
- Demonstrated experience generating software improvement based on user feedback.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, refining, and improving requirements based on user feedback.
- Demonstrated experience with the Agile methodology.
- Demonstrated experience writing system documentation such as end user guides, privileged user guides, configuration management plans, patch management plans or system release notes.
