2HB Incorporated is seeking a Database Administrator in order to support its government customer in Herndon, VA. The program group is responsible for developing, engineering, and deploying technical solutions within dedicated networks. The program requires support in the areas of database administration. The work will require collaboration with a small, mission-focused team of developers, network engineers, and systems administrators creating technical solutions to challenging collaboration and data processing problems. 

Work Requirements:
  • The candidate shall assist with transitioning an old thick-client application on hard iron servers to a web-based application on a virtualized platform.
  • The candidate shall work with the Oracle software and determine ways to organize and store data.
  • The candidate shall identify user requirements, set up computer databases, and test and coordinate modifications to the computer database system.
  • The candidate shall ensure the performance of the system.
  • The candidate shall understand the platform on which the database runs.
  • The candidate shall add new users to the system.
  • The candidate shall plan and coordinate security measures related to data integrity, backup systems, and database security.
  • The candidate shall create and maintain detailed documentation regarding the new system.
Position Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in database administration focused on security compliance and counterintelligence best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a system monitoring strategy
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle Administration, Oracle system maintenance in a Windows environment
     
This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
