What does an Manager, New Product Implementation do at companies like 2U, Inc.?

What We’re Looking For:

This individual, reporting to the Director, New Product Implementation, will be responsible for supporting implementation of new programs and contributing to the development of resources utilized to support standardization and efficiency across implementation.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

 

  • Project Management:

 

      • Serve as a subject matter expert for implementation and support the New Product Implementation team in project managing all aspects of implementation including the timeline, project plan, technology specifications, and relationships both internally and externally with our University Partners.
      • Create technical specs, lead communication regarding technical requirements internally, and lead testing of technical aspects prior to launch
      • Maintain the implementation project plan and assess any impacts to the projected timeline in order to minimize risk to launch
      • Create and maintain documentation throughout the implementation period in order to ensure a smooth transition to program management

 

  • Stakeholder Management:

 

      • Effectively manage appropriate relationships and projects both within 2U and with University Partners to ensure overall success of the program launches
      • Effectively communicate all relevant information to various stakeholders within 2U and with our partners
      • Identify and assess escalation points and collaborate efficiently with stakeholders to expedite resolutions

 

  • Process Development and Standardization

 

    • Contribute to the standardization of processes and best practices and ensure this information is documented and distributed to the appropriate stakeholders
    • Subject matter expert for specific tasks across the program launch, and ability to implement them in many programs at once
    • Handle additional operational and administrative tasks as needed

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4-6 years of experience, with roles including data analysis, operations, or project management
  • Strong project management skills essential
  • Excellent computer skills, coupled with the ability to quickly learn new software suites and functionality
  • Extraordinary organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated success with leading and managing multiple stakeholders and priorities in the absence of direct line authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work and contribute in a team environment
  • Comfortable dealing with the unknown and being aggressive in coming up with solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

 Travel: Light travel may be required to visit university partners on campus.
