2U is searching for a Product Manager to drive the evolution of our Applicant Systems. This individual will ensure all product initiatives are in line with the organization’s overall goals and strategy, and will work closely with Pre-Enrollment portfolio leadership team and business stakeholders deliver business value by leveraging technology intelligently. The Product Manager II shows the ability to think strategically about a product and can demonstrate a base-level understanding of the product’s customers and users, technology, business stakeholders, and market.
You have a knack for detail and have worked previously as a Product Owner or Project Manager in a dynamic, fast-paced software development environment. You have exemplary communication skills and have experience influencing and motivating others. At 2U, you will work with a talented and passionate team that is focused on delivering outcomes for students and our University partners.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Independently identifying, analyzing, and managing scope in relation to a full product and all of it’s features and enhancements.
Creating and managing a roadmap representing business value creation for up to a year aligned with OKRs.
Provide strategic and tactical leadership to Business Analysts and Engineers.
Developing and managing relationships with relevant business stakeholders, including the coordination observation sessions in order to develop empathy and knowledge of their business functions.
Communicate and refine requirements cross-functionally with your team team and guide product design, implementation, testing and maintenance.
Manage stakeholder expectations by ensuring projects are delivered on time
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
Leverage data/analytics to make decisions, but know how to make the call when all the data isn’t there
Things That Should Be In Your Background:
You have at least 1-3 years of experience in product management or related role
Excellent communication skills and experience building and executing a roadmap
Soft people skills, specifically the ability to motivate and influence others
Experience leveraging technology to address complex business needs
Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end software development process (SDLC)
Experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies
