The contract Business Analyst/Tech Writer will work with IT system stakeholders to gather and document Data Governance best practices and compliance requirements. On a daily basis, the Business Analyst/Tech Writer will also collaborate with Product Owners to develop and/or enhance the release cycle and messaging related to Data Governance and compliance documentation. Collaboration will include coordinating meetings, setting meeting agendas and creating presentations. In many cases, the Business Analyst/Tech Writer will assist the Client Product Owner with developing system documentation to satisfy audit/compliance requirements for existing systems. Other duties include:
• Apply your technical knowledge and experience to modernize our client's data governance practices and principles
• Increase assurance of continuous compliance integration, faster delivery of changes, and improved linkages between strategy and execution
• Serve as a steward fostering change to operational technical governance frameworks
• Conduct strategy and governance assessments to recommend solutions for improving oversight and decision-making to drive IT initiatives
• Review and analysis of IT systems and user needs
• Conducts needs analysis, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic as necessary
• Identifies process scenarios, develops process scripts, and creates expected results for use in test cycles
• Acts as liaison among Client Product Owners, operations, and IT staff
• Analysis and evaluation of existing or proposed business systems and processes in order to identify and implement improvements for both business unit and/or enterprise wide objectives
• Creating user stories/use cases, process & data flows and scenarios in order to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements
• Attend workshops with multiple stakeholders across communication, technology, business and vendor teams
• Gather data and business system requirements via in-person or online requirements gathering sessions
• Resolve business problems for internal and external customers by utilizing problem solving and analytical skills and documenting the "why" and "what" of the business problem
• Understand industry trends and educate the users in those changes and suggests applicability to solve business problems
