JOB DESCRIPTION

Our growing Corporate team is searching for a Payroll and Benefits Administrator to report to and work closely with our Controller and as a liaison to our Human Resources team. As a valuable member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing payroll for multiple organizations along with several other payroll and benefits related responsibilities. You will serve as an important contact for our employees who have payroll and benefit related questions.

 Responsibly Summary

  • Responsible for preparing multi-state semi-monthly payroll
  • Administering payroll and benefit set-up for new hires
  • Maintenance of employee benefit deductions
  • Update and maintain employee data in Paylocity
  • Maintenance of PTO bank balances
  • 401K plan administration and funding
  • Employee contact for payroll and benefit deduction-related questions
  • Employee expense reporting approvals and payment
  • Reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices
  • Respond to employment verification requests
  • Preparation of payroll journal entries
  • Completing and submitting miscellaneous reports (e.g, EOC)
  • Respond to data requests related to audits (e.g., 401k audit, etc.)
  • Ensure appropriate data submissions between payroll and various benefit providers

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience running payroll in a multi-state environment
  • Paylocity experience and Employee Navigator experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines
