About You

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and manage the AR team. You will be responsible for overseeing and directing the day to day activities of collections and handle a wide range of accounting duties within the greater Accounting team. You have strong organizational and communication skills and can balance competing priorities. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Invoicing all clients at the end of the month based on the contract terms, email exceptions, passthrough costs and spend updated by the team.
  • Creating JE’s and maintaining schedules
  • Maintaining and updating the end of month reconciliations and close reports
  • Maintaining the deferred revenue schedules
  • Reconciling the media buys with media passthrough fees each month
  • Receiving and reviewing new client contracts for accuracy and completeness
  • Setting up and onboarding the client, obtaining relevant details and paperwork
  • Ensuring all client files are up to date and accurate, both hard and soft copy folders
  • Keeping track of emails and communication regarding billing and clients through the month to ensure accurate billing
  • Maintaining and reviewing account receivables monthly
  • Following up on past due invoices and collection of AR
  • Providing all information required to our collections agency as and when needed
  • Managing all aspects of the accounts receivable department and AR team
  • Making judgmental decisions on a case-by-case basis
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise
  • Track and ensure correct application of all credit memos

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum 5 to 7 years of Accounting experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • A proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • An end to end knowledge of accounting and how Invoices, bills, journal entries affect the company financials
  • A strong attention to detail and high accuracy for work; furthermore, you’ll need to have an excellent ability to number crunch and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability and desire to manage and mentor direct reports
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while dealing with sensitive material
  • Proven record of timeliness with end of month deliverables as well as for ad hoc requests
