About You

As the Associate Director of Video Production,  you will be responsible for overseeing the growth, strategy, and execution of custom live action production projects from inception through to completion. This includes identifying project scope, clarifying deliverables, anticipating internal, external, and client needs, understanding timelines, and managing vendor, client, and internal communications.

You will be managing a team of internal and external Producers, and partnering with the Associate Creative Directors, as well as the Program Managers and PMs on the team. The Associate Director of Video Production reports directly to the Executive Creative Director.

As the Associate Director of Video Production, you are a standout mentor and coach. You know how to motivate and inspire, but also give tough feedback and help course correct. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the production of high-quality live action video campaigns to support growth objectives as specified in creative briefs 
  • Development of the 3Q live action production process: from scoping, bidding, awarding, and executing best in class content, to project wrap details (billing, invoicing, and organization of legal documents)
  • Acting as liaison for Creative Strategy, Creative Services, Client Contacts, Legal Counsel, Business Affairs and external vendors
  • Management of a team of Producers and accountable for continuing the development and application of a scalable staffing model designed to meet evolving business needs
  • Ensure compliance with Company and Client practices by sourcing diverse, equitable, and inclusive vendors, crew, and talent

 You’ll need to have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in development and/or production, with a proven track record of creating high-quality digital content
  • 3 years’ experience as a Senior Producer or similar, managing a creative staff and large teams including creatives, crew, producers, talent, and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong network of industry contacts and vendor relationships, including writers, directors, producers, DP’s, shooters, editors, and post personnel
  • Deep working knowledge of the full production process: scoping, timelines, onboarding vendors, pre-production and post-production management through to final client approval
  • Experience working with digital creative and social media creative
  • Great communication, organizational, and project/time management skills
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • The ability to prioritize and consistently handle multiple tasks across multiple clients and teams
  • Flexibility when it comes to changing priorities, while still meeting deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking skills that equip you to provide solutions and not just flag problems
  • Attention to detail, while simultaneously seeing the bigger picture
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Flexibility in schedule and willing to work weekends, as well as travel on-location, when necessary

 

Additional things that will impress us:

  • Experience working with remote production protocol and/or shooting outside of the US
  • Experience solving problems with challenging schedules, comfort with agile/nimble production
  • Experience with Business Affairs

  • Proven Slack experience
  • Expertise in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Asana Software (not required but a plus)
  • Harvest Software (not required but a plus)
  • Smartsheet (not required but a plus)
