Position Summary

829 Studios is looking for an experienced Project Manager reporting into the Web Project Management team. This person will manage 20 - 30 projects related to the operational success of 829's growth marketing, website development and digital experiences, including helping to build and maintain new workflows for quality control and efficiency gains. This person will work on data-driven, complex projects that aid in the success of integrated web projects across a variety of content management systems with an emphasis on WordPress. There will be collaboration with internal stakeholders including the account managers, designers and developers. The ideal candidate has experience in running operationally complex projects focused on efficiency across projects.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with web team leadership and specific team stakeholders to see projects through to completion.
• Operationalize project management within the broader team by facilitating planning meetings, and ongoing status meetings and sharing the outputs of those meetings in a way that is easy for the teams to reference and understand.
• Own planning, coordination of workflow, creation and execution of projects that improve the operational success of the web and digital marketing teams and communications across channels.
• Review designs, dev guides and websites for accuracy, adherence to brand guidelines and quality standards, and coordinate team and client approvals of all creative deliverables.
• Work closely with the broader team to help master project tracking and timelines via Gantt boards, allocate and manage tasks among operators, and report weekly on project updates.
• Work with multi-functional teams to do needs-assessments and roll out new workflows for cross-collaboration.
• Develop all facets of project plans, including documentation of project scope, objectives, deliverables, key milestones and timelines, working collaboratively with internal teams to make sure deadlines are met.
• Identify potential issues or challenges to project completion and recommend solutions.
• Align with Account Managers to improve on operational processes related to enhanced speed to launch and overall account deadlines.
• Develop templates and assist in the delivery of weekly health reports/check-ins, monthly and quarterly summaries for clients.
• Work with manager and team leadership to continue to define and refine the role.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of project management experience for in-house, agency or start-up environment
• Expertise or familiarity within the website development landscape - WordPress knowledge a must, additional CMS knowledge a plus but not required 
• Proven track record with cross-functional collaboration and achieving high customer satisfaction
• Experience defining and managing team workflow
• Experience leading Scrum ceremonies, meeting structure, and use of industry terminology
• Experience with Google, Microsoft Office Suite, design tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.) and project management tools (Wrike, Jira, ActiveCollab, etc.)
• Comfort with business analytics and producing data-driven insights and reports
• Comfort managing Executive expectations and feedback
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

COVID Update

The overwhelming majority of our team is working remotely due to COVID. While our office is open with guidelines for social distancing, hygiene and capacity, we are encouraging our team to work from home for the foreseeable future. We have no plans to require on-site work and have no limitations on working from home. We intend to resume on-site work eventually when it is safe to do so.
