As 90 enters its next phase of growth, we are looking for a full-time Associate Content Director with 10+ years of marketing experience to lead our clients and deliver exceptional work from an informed and strategic perspective. We’re looking for candidates with a copywriting background, who think about what makes good stories and how to connect with audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads clients and creative teams in to deliver great concepts, content, and valuable experiences.
  • Loves to write, contribute to the work across clients, and lead by example.
  • Gets in the trenches with the writers, designers, strategists, media experts and technologists who are building, launching and refining work that reinforces and grows 90octane’s excellent reputation. Leads by example.
  • Thinks strategically about complex business problems and offer creative solutions to break them down.
  • Has the ability to mentor and guide a team, a practice, and champion ideas within an organization.
  • Works as a voice for ideas that resonate and strategies that inspire action.
  • Recognizes opportunities for growth of the team, the agency and our clients – and can lead the way forward.
  • Ensures the team delivers high-quality creative work that drives toward our clients’ goals and objectives, inspires and educates intended audiences and stands apart in a noisy world.
  • Innate understanding of the value marketing and advertising provides, and the executional chops to bring outstanding ideas (both in content and concept) to the table.
  • Acts as a project leader from discovery and ideation through launch and ongoing refinement.
  • Establishes and maintains lasting relationships with clients, peers and partners.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (or maybe even a Master’s degree) in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications or a related degree
  • Storyteller-turned-leader, with a strong background in content strategy and copywriting
  • At least 10 years of experience delivering creative solutions and strategies, especially within the digital marketing space
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing people
  • Experienced in the healthcare, finance, industrial, or technology sectors
  • Knowledgeable about information architecture and design best practices
  • Skilled in creating and inspiring work that compels action and builds loyalty from both consumer and business audiences
  • Enjoy working on B2B brands - selling complicated, expensive things to groups of highly educated people
  • High-energy, hard-working person with a good sense of humor
  • Sees the big picture and the details at the same time
  • Often comes up with a simple solution to multiple problems
  • A thoughtful and persuasive speaker
  • An open-minded but decisive leader
