Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
Responsible for site-wide purchasing functions.
Plan, perform and administer purchasing activities to assure raw materials, MRO items and services are provided in a timely manner.
Insure all purchases meet corporate purchasing, quality and ethical guidelines.
Strong negotiation skills required to assure that materials and services are purchased on favorable terms and cost.
Perform ongoing analysis and cost reductions to ensure the lowest overall cost and the highest value for dollars spent.
Follows ISO and cGMP guidelines and SOPs for purchasing including material specifications, vendor performance and corrective and preventive actions.
Responsible for filing and maintenance of vendor records and purchases.

Qualifications:
1-3 years experience in a purchasing or other Supply Chain support role.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
CPM designation with the NAPM (or similar), or a CPIM designation with APICS (or similar) are preferred.
Background:
Must have good interpersonal skills to work with suppliers and customers in a polite and tactful, yet firm manner.
Must have good organizational skills, experience with computerized ERP systems, and experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment to support internal and external customers.
