Position Summary
The candidate will be responsible for the Global Security Communications Center, and includes all the responsibilities of the Global Communications Center. This individual may serve the Lake County team or any of several other Abbott client groups and regions and able to communicate verbally both via radio and telephone, as well as through written media via information delivery systems which may include executive-quality incident summary drafts that will be reviewed before delivery. The candidate will also monitor and operate multiple reporting and alarm systems concurrently.
Main Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for complying with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures, produce accurate, timely, positive results when monitoring events such as emergency response, crisis management and incident command.

Accountability/Scope/Budget
The GCC Communications Analyst position will report directly to the Global Command Center's Manager and Supervisor.
No direct reports are assigned the GCC Communications Analyst, however, under the guidance of the GCC Manager and Supervisor, the candidate should anticipate mentoring new communications analysts or GCC support Staff or trainees.
Qualifications
High school diploma is required; however college degree is highly desired. 2+ yrs of functional dispatch experience or equivalent computer skills are required, ability to function well with Microsoft Word and Excel, and other desktop applications as they become available. Bilingual skills (written and oral), are preferred.
