Establish models, databases and procedures for data assimilation This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement across the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Demand Execution (DE) process, development & implementation of strategies to support product launch planning, inventory & obsolescence management, product rationalization and monitoring of key demand planning performance indicators. Develop demand based sales forecasts for all products. Forecasts will be developed using internally developed models and statistical analysis and through direct interface with Marketing and Sales, Manufacturing Operations and Finance. Demand forecasts drive Annual Plan / Update and LBE sales planning, resulting production planning LRP forecasts and required capital investment planning.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews & analyzes historical demand/sales trends and partners with key cross-functional stakeholders & Regional Demand Planners to develop a consensus finished goods demand forecast. Challenges cross functional partners to ensure forecast drivers are identified, understood & mutually agreed-upon
- Prepares data & graphs to support the global S&OP process and drives continuous process improvements across demand planning & supply chain
- Contributes to phase-in/phase-out processes for assigned product lines. Communicates implementation plans (and relevant changes) to geographies consistent with Marketing & integrated business plans
- Maintains reports on sales/demand forecast accuracy
- Maintains forecasts and planning factors in demand planning system(s) with regard to relationships between distribution locations
- Participates in demand planning system upgrades, enhancements and implementations. Monitors system functions and assures proper interfaces between systems
- Assists management in resolution of problems related to over-/under-shipments and related impacts on service & inventory levels
- Drives continuous process improvements across demand planning & supply chain
- Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental contractors, and vendors.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Business. Minimum 2 Years Relevant work experience. Ability to analyze and interpret data and proficient in Excel. Ability to work cross-functionally and/or regionally to support initiatives to drive improvement in results and key performance indicators (KPI’s). Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing demands. Some Financial Experience preferred. Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers.
