Primary Functions/Primary Goals/Objectives:
This entry level position allows new operators to become familiar with plant procedures and policies, which enable them to learn the basics of their assigned dryer. On dryer #3, the operator will learn the operation of the fluid bed room for production and CIP and will assist the dryer technicians and specialists with more complex systems. This will facilitate their development towards positions of increasing responsibility. In addition, the operator will learn the operation of the lactose, rework and whey protein systems, operational knowledge of powder transport systems and IBC handling and storage systems. Operators will gain operational knowledge and applicable tasks of evaporating batches, product sterilization, drying product, weighing and adding vitamins, add up corrections, troubleshooting and CIP of equipment and following all GMP/safety guidelines to stay in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.

The Powder Processing department is responsible for the processing and drying of all pediatric and medical nutritional powder products.. Products are manufactured according to all applicable federal and state regulations, GMPs, SPCPs and work orders to ensure quality products produced in a safe and sanitary work environment.
