Responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis supporting Abbott Neuromodulation’s US Movement Disorder business and Enterprise Accounts teams.  Lead team working with commercial and financial management to prepare financial plans and set performance expectations.  Manage financial analyst and ensure use of appropriate concepts and techniques combined with general business knowledge to identify risks and opportunities and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyst in support of US Movement Disorder business and Enterprise Account team and act as primary point of contact for Director US Movement Disorders.
• Direct performance of complex financial analysis and select course of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
• Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information and provide insights into business risks and opportunities
• Manage preparation and distribution of financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
• Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses and profitability by modeling changes in key variables.
• Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.
• Review and approve journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement and simplification of financial and business processes.
• Develop and utilize sound financial processes to drive improved business performance.

Accountability

• Ensures appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures, and understanding of GAAP.
• Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs).
• Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives.
• Seek guidance and deliver proposed solutions on issues outside of normal scope.
• Very organized with good interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills.
• Oversee projects with significant interface across functions and groups.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting or finance.  Six plus years of accounting or finance related experience.  Ability to analyze and interpret data.  Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.  Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.  Proficient in Excel with general understanding of financial accounting systems.
