Primary Job Function:
The Informatics Sales Specialist is responsible for the development of information and informatics strategies and solutions for our customers. Through customer benefits metrics and insights, the incumbent articulates the value of the solutions to multiple levels of the customer’s organization. The Informatics Specialist’s works the sales team to evaluate a laboratory’s needs; develop a recommended laboratory solutions; and assist the local sales team in closing new business. The successful incumbents have a mix of strong IT technical aptitude (i.e. LIS; HIS; networking, and data mining); healthcare industry knowledge; strong selling skills; and leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
Work with Area management and sales leadership to develop qualified prospects lists and prioritize opportunities. Lead team of sales professional in highly complex customer environment (i.e. high levels of automation or Informatics solutions environments; multi-site or matrixed customer decision making cases). Lead both entry level territory sales professional and higher level employees such as large complex account Enterprise Account Managers and Product Specialists on evaluating, developing and integrating informatics elements into the solutions proposals for customers. As a subject matter experts on laboratory automation Informatics; and consulting; the incumbent is responsible for educating others in their associated commercial teams on the various technical areas of information technology and IT consulting. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system associated with the role’s responsibilities and company policies.

There is extensive travel required for this position up to 80%
