PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Develop actionable business insights, implications, and strategic recommendations from analysis of secondary , syndicated market research information and competitive intelligence for Abbott Vascular.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and manage internal systems for the timely and accurate collection, analysis and dissemination of information and insight derived from secondary, syndicated market research and competitive intelligence data. Provide inputs to planning process and manage monthly reporting processes on market conditions, competitive performance, and explanation of drivers of observed market conditions. Develop and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Build and develop high performing Business Analytics team. Develop annual budget for Business Analytics and track performance against that budget monthly. Negotiate for necessary funding and cross functional resource needs. Research and recommend additional syndicated market research purchases to drive increased understanding of the business and opportunities to drive competitive differentiation and business growth.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years related business experience. Previous healthcare sales, marketing or research experience would be helpful but not a requirement.
MINIMUM TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5 years combined sales, marketing or marketing research preferred Also critical for success: Exceptional analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills) High energy level and positive attitude; confidence Integrity and professionalism.
